Missing You Was Never Was Easy
There’s many people I’d be fine to leave
“That’s just the way of life”, my mother said to me
But sometimes the feeling you feel in the night
Is missing that person who possessed so much light
We’ve had countless days and night full of happiness
I felt the wind coming, but I didn’t say nothing
Until the white, soft water streamed down on us
Leaving me searching for a way to adjust
No one who hasn’t experienced the longing
Longing for love, a bittersweet feeling
Wanting to feel protected and loved
The feeling of your heart being shoved
But darling please know,
Missing you never was easy
The pain is excruciating, there’s a hole in my heart
But now I have to return to the start
I hope you feel the same for me
But if you don’t, I think you need
To realize how much I long for you
To come back to my life brand new.
