home
home is right here,
3o minutes off the western kentucky parkway.
10 minutes past the old anneta firehouse
the place ive laughed, cried, screamed.
the one place that i see my true self
ive grown up here
ive learned about life here
ive seen love
hate
loss
friendship
and so much more.
you see,
i grew up from this little kid
fishin with her dad,
kissin the fishies
and throwing them back.
home is what shapes us
what leads us to family
it makes us the person we are today
home is my safe place
my house on the lake
where i hear the blue birds sing
four wheelers ring
and waves hit the dock,
home is there
