A poet  walks in me

I am figurative and creative

I wonder if I’ll ever finish this poem

I hear the sound of a pencil touching a paper

I see the imagery if words hopping off the page

I want an award-winning poem

I am figurative and creative

I pretend to dark and lonely to help my writing

I feel like writing is a way to get my emotions out

I touch the soul of my readers

I cry as I write a poem about my dad

I am figurative and creative

I understand not everyone will like my writing

I say that poetry is more enjoyable than writing essays

I dream about being an author of my own poem book

I try to put emotions with my words
