Making the back of my throat itch
And feel like sandpaper

Lukewarm and barely chilled
Barely rising above a slight gurgle

Stainless steel with stains
Possibly mildew after so much use

The excuse we used to use
When we wanted a moment alone

An old secret meeting spot for us
Rusted after sitting still for so long
