I'm not sure why I'm doing it

maybe it's because I always loved books

or because its like coming home every time I walk into a library

or because burying myself in those pages

is the only way I made it out of last summer's heartbreak alive

or how it helps me push the loneliness away a little longer now

and it hadn't crossed my mind in months

but something about the way you said it-

so casually-

just clicked.

and now I can't stop and I love it.

so I guess this is a thank you

and while maybe it'd be easier to just thank you

this is no different than all the other things I've wished I could tell you

but not known how to.
