Broken like a glass bottle on the beach

I lay still as the waves crash over me

A pebble in a storm

being thrown about like it is nothing

A ripped pair of pants waiting to be sewn

forgotten in the bottom of the closet

Time and time again

simple tasks become insignificant

Grades are slipping

like a toddler on ice

Motivation has vanished

as if it was never there to begin with

My bed is a cage and I am a prisoner

trapped with no attempt to leave

All greens have turned to grey

Blue skies have lost their paradise

My friends have relinquished me

in search of a more jubilant auras

I am simply defeated
