Isn’t it funny that ears were created to listen yet all they do is block out everything and everyone until all that’s left is a never ending blankness that consumes you and invigorates everyone around you.

This piece is about my father and how he always seems to hear me, but never actually listens. I love him, but he just doesn’t seem to understand me. I am only a freshman in highschool, yet I do feel the need to have my voice be heard.
