Window to the Soul
I'm stuck in my head
Looking out at everyone else
Banging on the glass
Begging for someone to hear me
To come to my cries
To save me
Water starts to fill the space around me
I bang harder
Panic engulfing me
But no one hears
Water starts to leak through the glass
But no one sees
No one cares
They say the eyes are a window to the soul
I guess my soul is drowning

I wrote this piece when I was in a rough mindset. I'm hoping that when people read this they will understand how someone can be stuck in their head and even though they don't ask for help, they still might need it.
