the princess
i wasn’t in love with you
i was in love with the fairytales
fairytales i created when i saw
your eyes shine
and your lips curl up into a smile as sharp as your eyeliner
i fell for the ideas i planted into my own head
including the idea
that you loved me the same way
i spent ages convincing myself
that this was all my fault
me.
me.
me.
me.
but you,
youre also at fault
because you never stopped me
you fed into these fairytales
giving me a false sense of security
only to shatter it in the end
let be clear
i wasn’t in love with you;
although you let believe i was
and im sorry to tell you
but i’m a big kid now
and i don’t believe in fairytales anymore
