The Starry Night
The moon’s luminescent glow veiled upon the eye,
Stars swirling in the restless sky,
An emerald haze blocked my gaze,
As I roamed about the field,
The clouds coated my face,
Lights flickering with every step I take,
A cypress tree stopped my walk,
While your fingers grabbed my hand,
You wrapped me in your arms,
And framed the moon with your face,
The brisk air surrounded our shadows,
As we jumped upon the hill,
The darkness of night let our secrets unfold,
And we danced until the stars vanished,
The leaves wrapped us close,
Blowing our hopes in the breeze,
Tying our wishes and dreams together,
Helping us to believe.
