Twas the night before Christmas

And the cookies were out

Santa’s presence was anticipated all thought the house

The children were told to stay in their room

While the fat man was flying through the air like a sonic boom

Sugar plums danced in the children’s minds

Candy canes, snow, and food of all kinds

They wonder what new presents they will receive

Their minds focused on Santa, young and naive

Parents encourage this myth but not the truth

And now Christ is not in the minds of the youth

Imagine you receive no recognition on your birthday

We would not like it or be happy this way

Jesus Christ is the reason we all are here

To spread happiness and Christmas cheer

So we should all go to Mass

And take the time to pray

To Jesus Christ, on his special day

And Keep Christ in your heart

Because He is the most important part
