Philophobe
She is imprisoned in the cage for a reason
She is not made of gold
She is not an eagle
She is hidden behind flesh for a reason
And that reason is simple
She will burst from the bone
Beating a hummingbird’s wing
Singing a dove’s song
But She was not meant to fly
Icarus, dear
When your wings melt
And you shatter
Lock Her away
She is an addict
She will try to fly again
