Darkling
Sadness can be seen in every corner,
In every piece,
Of me.
I screamed out, “See me!”
I begged, “Help me.”
You stay inside far from everything.
You reside there,
Just hibernating.
Then one day you tear me apart.
You rip everything I knew limb from limb.
Then you leave:
Leave me paralyzed,
Leave me damaged,
Leave me gathering up the pieces.
You’ll come back.
Grief always does.
Heartache shows up when I think its all done,
Misery comes back to say I’ll never be free,
Dysphoria comes back to tell me I’ll never find the key.
Every day you will destroy my heart
Every day you will fill me with agony
One day maybe you will have enough.
But until then,
Every day, you will come back to wreck me.
