I miss you at the darkest times of night.

When I’m lying in my big, warm, bed

And all I can hear are the crickets chirping and a few cars racing down the street.

When I’m all alone.

When all my mind can do is think about you and how you made me feel.

They way you laughed and the way you smiled

When every song reminds me of you.

When all that’s running through my head are the memories of you and me;

How happy you made me.

The way you held me,

The way you kissed me.

But I don’t just miss you at night.

I miss you in the middle of the day.

All it takes is for one person to say something to me that reminds me of you.

And I hate it.

It’s funny how the one thing that made me so happy could make me so sad.

Because you said you never wanted to hurt anyone,

Especially me.

But then those words,

“I think that we should just be friends,” came out of your mouth

And my heart nearly stopped.

I guess the simple truth was, I liked you a lot more than you liked me.

I know because of that you’ll soon forget my name.

You’ll forget the sound of my voice.

You’ll forget about how much I did for you.

Or how much pain I went through before.

I’ll soon become a stranger;

Walking by without recognizing me,

You won’t even know me.

And I think I’m okay with that

What a breathtaking explosion of light it will be when the stars all fall in love with each other.

It seems like you have been through a really horrible breakup. It shows a lot of emotion and I like it.
