Insomniac
Naps are like previews to death
I am now early for something I'm late for.
I try to die over and over everytime I lay,
rest. Pillow after pillow.
I refuse to give up, none more
More over love left forgot to sleep mix up
Mix up I do after sleep zero hours
Insomnia equals parents screaming
left not school teachers impeding on structure,
homework organization, forgot class tomorrow, project due
sleep, must, I must sleep.
I forgot to, everything
breathe. which hallway. left right. fall-- history paper due,
don't forget to love him
Boyfriend, friend, best friend
forget about my life, no no.
Talent show event, coming up.
I must sleep sleep must.
Up until 3 a.m. Never nap nap equals death. Sorry
I'm forgetting what it's like to understand. I'm
I'm sleeping. Daydreams mix with reality.
After four days you'll forget what's real

This piece is about the struggle of insomnia. YOU SHOULD GET HELP FROM A DOCTOR. This poem is a representation of exactly how I was feeling for weeks until I found a way to fix the problem and get more rest.
