Fight 'till Forget
Fight, then fall, then turn out a light.
Gripe, then crawl, then begin a fight.
Ignore, then loose, then learn to abhor.
Mature, then excuse, then fight to ignore.
Plea, then pout, then cease to see.
Flee, then shout, then ignore her plea.
Confess, then cry, then admit your mess.
Aggress, then lie. Your plea does not confess.
Apologize, then fear, then try to dramatize.
Traumatize, then disappear, but forget to eulogize.

This piece centers around domestic abuse, illustrating the process that repeats and repeats, thoughts leading into others until there are no thoughts left to think. The structure of my poem reflects this, as shown through stanzas beginning and ending with the same word, demonstrating how abusers warp their thoughts and attempt to justify their actions.
