"It never hurts to keep looking for sunshine." ~Eeyore

One hundred and eight-eight
Years have passed since that date,
When guns went off in the street.
Bang! Pop! Oh those three days of summer heat.

Swords pointed, red flags flew,
Men yelled, the sky was blue,
The clouds hid their pale faces,
When blood poured out in all their cases.

The barricade was built high,
The revolutionaries gave their last try.
Soldiers’ bullets fell like rain from above,
But all anyone felt for their country was love.

All around, angered allies fell,
The revolutionaries knew all too well,
That their fight was done,
There was nowhere to run,
Oh those three days of summer heat.
