Hazel eyes wishing they were blue
Staring at me with desire drenched in lemonade
Sweet and sour all at the same time

He’s an enigma
Self deprecating puzzle pieces
Dancing like flames across his lips
Spilling from his tongue like tar

Breathing in the ashes of my voice
He takes it all without a second thought
He is my violet safe haven
A place where the taste of my name is like honey

He is my favorite home
And there I live in spirit
Like fog lingering over the sea

A consummate love
