June 15, 2017
With my feet in the sand,
Staring out at the ocean waves.
My hand in their hand,
We explore ancient caves.
Lemonade and iced tea in the shade
The smell of the fresh breeze as it floats my way
I hope these summer memories never fade.
Because here all is well at the end of the day.
So many things I wish would not change.
But the seasons cannot stay sunny forever.
I’ll never forget your words, they were strange.
I’ll miss our wild, mischievous endeavor.
