Whether for our country or for ourselves,
we're all fighting a battle beneath the shell.
The death and battles in our military are true.
Though, no one sees the ones inside that leave us black and blue.
The torment of our demons and angels,
will never be seen no matter the angle.
Some can withstand it with an iron core,
others feel they can take no more.
People battle everything deep inside.
Grasping not that they’ve emotionally died.
The happiness outside keeps everyone a glow!
Yet deep inside, hiding their anchoring woe.
All the smiling faces,  shield the splintered spears and broken maces.
Talking about hopes and dreams,
Drowning out their sorrowful screams
Bullies tear down a defenseless "nerd".
Who yells inside, trying to be heard.
Next time you consider war and the internal fight,
Act and help them, by doing what’s right.
When you see them tired and worn to the core,
Help them fight and end their “ Eternal War.”
