In fields below

where nightmares grow

the living fear to tread

The soldier went

his energy spent

death trailing in his stead

Into Hell he fell

a long way down

his pride and prowess gone

Through blackness he strode

down the darkest road

the Devil watched from above

For hope he knew

would lead him through

to retrieve his stolen love

Into Hell he fell

a long way down

his pride and prowess gone

He saw her there

her golden hair

but the Devil stood in front

Unsheathing his sword

The soldier walked toward

the Devil to confront

Into Hell he fell

a long way down

his pride and prowess gone

The demons laugh

and block his path

he cut through them with ease

He went to war

with the devil and swore

for death he was about to tease

Into Hell he fell

a long wah down

his pride and prowess returning

The Devil let out a mighty roar

into the soldiers chest he tore

the blood burned the Devils hand

For the blood was white

against the night

the soldier took a stand

Into Hell he fell

a long way down

his pride and prowess abounding

The two forces fought

and both of them saught

to take the others life

They battled long

both of them strong

they powered through the strife

Into Hell he fell

a long way down

His pride and prowess restored

The Devil chuckled

but his knees buckled

as his head toppled to the ground

The soldier cheered

his quest revered

his stolen love finally found

Out of Hell they climbed

a long way up

their hope and prowess shared

They climbed into the light

putting an end to their blight

their world now restored

She looked at him

no longer grim

a kiss was his reward

No longer in Hell

where the two of them fell

The soldier went back to the sky
