There are two ways to spread light; to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it. ~Edith Wharton

Broken is the shield you impaled,

A barrier unbreachable, now Broken.
A shell from which I hailed,
Has crumbled and is blood soaken.

My bashfulness vanquished,
Replaced with courage.
All from a broken shield,
And  terrible lineage.

Your sword freed my Soul,
When it broke that steel.
Nonetheless a metal black as coal,
So to you, I kneel.
