We have become parched from all the tears we have cried together.
We have become strong from all the hopes that we thought had died.I-
have become lost for I don’t know the streets,I-
don’t want to know anyone anymore.
Let me mask myself to seem brave,even though the fear is scaring me inside.
let me fard myself to be loved, because sometimes beauty is all that counts.
People like me don’t cast a shadow anymore,
i am not alone for we are the ones left behind.
I was lost , but then
you found me . But then i learned to find myself.
so in turn -
let me help you.
So i will let you cry if necessary , only if you promise that you won’t tomorrow.
I will let you scream into the vas openness of our empty home just if you promise that your voice won’t run out because it would be a pity to miss a sing along in the car.
I will let you guide my hands through yours as if you were asking me to tell you your future but we both know i can’t.
All i know is that you were the candle in the mist of the night , and when i had nowhere to run your arms embraced me for safety. The shadows of the trees could no longer nurture my insanity . The river could no longer wash my sins away and the rain-
it stopped listing to my excuses. So i no longer lost in hopes to be found , i have been found but want to be lost again. Because the world is not the same without a sister to have as example, to have as a best friend , a teacher and for me to have as a guardian .
