The Emission Condition

July 23, 2014

A Montana man, Wayne, left his dog in the car,
Unfortunately, Wayne left his wallet ajar.
When he returned from his dinner, his eyes did grow wide,

For his wallet no longer had five-hundred dollars inside.

And then, he turned, and, my, what did he see,
But his dog, Sundance, seemingly smiling with glee.
He searched through her droppings, with hope, and with fear,
But, alas, only remnants if his bills did appear.

So, Wayne, a man, with his eyes fiercely glinting,
Sent the remnants to the Treasury Department’s Bureau of Engraving
and Printing.
His reimbursement occurs on one condition:
Fifty-one percent of his bills must be released
through his dog’s emission.

So, with trepidation, poor Wayne does await,
He now knows to never again take Sundance on a date.

This is a "news ballad," the subject of which is pretty self-explanatory.
