Why don’t the blades of grass
Curl away from the flame
How dare the sun
Not hide its head in shame
Why does that tree
Stand so tall
Why don’t the stars
Click off and fall
Your being is twisted
Your body is burned
Life is ending
But the world is preserved

Oh my goodness, thank you for this poem!!!! It made my day to read this, no joke. So much poetry written by teenagers is so blatantly melancholy. You can actually write! Way to go!!! :D

This is very good and this person has a gift. They are decribing the nature and wat it is to them.

Thank you for your comment, but I thought I should let you know that this is not about "what nature means to me"'s about that old trite phrase, "it's not the end of the world"
