“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.” ~Einstein

These ties that hold me to this Earth,
these ties that I fight to breathe;
Tethered-half up and half down,
not captured, but not free.
I writhe and cry with desperation,
I want to leave and fly away;
but when you're gone, there's no turning back,
Should I fly-or stay.
I know this life, I'm used to it,
with loved ones gathered round;
but out there is the great unknown,
Possibilities; life unbound.
So the question does remain,
should I stay or go;
Life is meant to be but lived,
with passion and with hope.
If I stay I continue on,
this monotonous paper road;
but if I fly, I take my life,
with the ashes of the bold.
Fire is a wild thing,
with passion blazing bright;
dangerous and hurtful,
but that's my chosen life.
I choose to burn the ties,
and leave this world behind;
the paper life, now ashes,
my fire is my guide.
