morality is the weakness of the brain- Rimbaud

You’re the light to guide me home, but you’re flickering.
While you shine I see harmony endlessly beating
But I fear the darkness shows more,
If you douse, I’ll close my eyes and pursue with heightened senses,
Listen for vengeful sirens on their way to end their victorious foe
Who’s rose the market to impossible song. A defenseless consensus
Holding residency to goddesses, heroines who’re threaten by your glow
That outshines Helens, Salomes, and she who walks in beauty

If I ever lose sight of your
Flashing aura, I’ll know it’s on your own accord, and that
You still breath. And I’ll lick my lips and taste the air
If it tastes of aging mavericks, it means you were there,
Pulsing out for them brief images of the correct path,
And I do not fear it’s all a trick because I know your wrath
And I know you’d rather forever tease than allow them peace,
So you’re close. Laid off the fates and pluck their string
Herding desperate suitors in, flocking them up like geese,
Plucking a joyful tune knowing what it will bring
A perpetual hope unknowingly failing
