They used to scream and call my name,
I simply shrugged and walked away, they were the ones to blame.
They used to tell me lies to deny the Jews their freedom,
but with all pain and cries I’ve heard I wish I’d never seen ‘em.
Hitler’s voice and Aryan cries sent shivers down my spine,
He believed we’d win the war and everything would end up fine.
I never thought I’d see the day my brother’s strength would erode away,
But right before my very eyes,
He collapsed among the allied cries.
Italy has surrendered, only after seeing the bombs Japan had endured.
Japan’s still unresponsive.
Italy’s no longer talkative.
The countries do see,
Still don’t want to talk to me.
I’ve changed! I swear!
Just let my brother over here!
The wall divides us, kills our heart,
Even when we’re by it, we’re still very far apart.
I know it’s true, I’ve never said it before,
but I just can’t stand being alone anymore!
I scream and shout and claw at the wall,
But my fear and voice won’t make it fall.
