Grandfather takes me to the sea,
Soon a lesson I will learn
My brother Evan comes along today,
It is not hot, but he will burn,

The water is calm and blue,
Perfect to swim and play,
It is beautiful outside,
But morale will decay,

Evan and I go in the water,
Warm and not too much salt,
But Evan is at the age of three,
And the event is not his fault,

I leave the water to dry off,
When grandfather runs by,
Clothes on and nothing in his way,
He won’t let Evan die,

Grandfather picks up the small boy,
And carries him to the shore,
He is scared but safe,
Normality is restored,

We resume playing shortly later,
Under grandfather’s careful eye,
Evan and I enjoy our time at the beach,
Because on grandfather we can rely.
