"A lover not a fighter on the front line with a poem" -battle scars

Gettin used to that smile
Gettin used to that stare
Gettin used to the feeling
That's supposed to be rare

Realized I need you
Like water needs a well
You hold me dear
And I'm under your spell

This is life's perfection
Unplanned, But now I'm scared
What if it changes
What if you don't care?

Do I tell you how I feel?
Do I hide in the dark?
Running through a forest
Tripping over bark

The moon isn't out to guide me
The sun has long been set
The birds no longer singing
The animals laid to rest

I guess I'll write a poem
It's not that hard to do
Tell you how I feel this way
Slowly bid adieu

Cause' even if you loved me
You don't anymore
I'm comfortable here
But I'm walking out the door

Thank you for being there
When times were too hard to tell
Thanks for being a friend
Water and the well
