"Cowards die a thousand deaths, but the courageous taste death only once." -William Shakespeare

Here I stand alone in battle
Like the shepherd of a lonely cattle.
Alone I stand and alone I fight
Bleeding and crying through the lonely night.

The war I wage is only my own
And I feel so far away from my home.
The enemy I see is on the charge
And this makes my fears enlarge.

My enemy is a crafty one
Not being seen in the rising sun.
He cannot be seen in the setting moon
Because my enemy is loneliness, you might presume.

With weapon in hand and enemy in sight,
I prepare to attack with all of my might.
I fear I must kill this strife
Or it will be the end of my life.

We comes to blows in this dramatic duel.
This battle is not civil, but cruel.
After hours of fighting, I finally won
And I see the beautiful sunrise of a rising sun.

This battle is not over, though, and it shall come to pass
That the delicacy of this fight is like a shattering glass
Loneliness or me, that is the choice.
I will fight this disease till my last and final voice.
