You’re suffering through your own civil war;
But what are you fighting for?
Your battle cry is more of a petty roar.
But what are you fighting for?
Your very own mind is the king of despair;
But what are you fighting for?
And your past has left a scar which you cannot repair.
But what are you fighting for?
The stranger in the mirror, you’ve come to rue;
But what are you fighting for?
Because deep down inside, that monster is you.
& that’s what you’re fighting for.
