The Marriage of Elizabeth Sharpe

Her dress was made of tulle
And the colors of manifold destinies
When he saw her
He was known to be nobody's fool
No heart's faltering whispers
Would betray him to her
But Elizabeth Sharpe was incarnated
She loved him when he could not feel it
The whole sky was anticipated
To be full of rain
On Elizabeth's wedding day
She was continually haunted by his eyes
Which always beckoned to her heart
Ever so dangerously
He was known to be a Fahrenheit
A pilfering degree too hot or too cool
But not cool enough to steal her
Still Elizabeth Sharpe was incarnated
She loved him when he could not feel it
The whole sky was anticipated
To be full of rain
On Elizabeth's wedding day
And on that day the daisies matched Elizabeth's smile
As she sang him songs through the rain
She crept into his heart and held his hand
The incarnation complete, he finally loved her
And opened his eyes
And attended Elizabeth's wedding day
