Robots Take Over the World (and Aliens Overthrow Them)

Technology was once a great thing
Before we lost control
We made shiny, intelligent robots
Who didn’t like their role.

Therefore they took over the world
So they could bring order
Logic and science and technology
They created many a new border

Life was “perfect” until they came
And started a great war
They came from a different planet
Revolving ‘round a star

And then they took over the world,
Overthrew the machines,
And started a new government
Where they lived like kings.

But then one day they went away;
Disappeared into space.
“Earth was just a huge waste of time.”
They said with palms on their face.

The author's comments:
I had to do this in Am.Lit, and like, I read in a tabloid (yes I read those)that scientists were apparently making robots that are like, almost humans. (except, like, that's a bunch of cow, because, like, all robots will ever be is machines because they can't have ability of choice).
