Rose
I did not welcome you that night
there was no room for you that night
That cold cruel winter's night
There was no room for you that night

You preserved and came back again
Paranoid I let you in
You enchanted me- none the less
I could not forget how pale and thin

I protected you night and day
Your blossom bloomed in every way
You mersmerized everyone you knew
I could not forget the change in you

Now that fate swept me away
My beautiful Rose withers each day

I sit here, lost broken and torn
I see no beauty
Just the thorns

"I had the blues because I had no shoes until upon the street,I met a man who had no feet."

Amazing and extraordinary job. I love the rhymes and beauty of this poem.

This is so great.  I absolutely love the ending.  I like how the poem is a mystery to me, but I love it anyway.

Quoting yourself makes you an ass.

I love this. The sad softness, petals and tears. I makes me sad... Like reading old love letters than writing poems on how the loved ones are gone. That feeling when you are home alone think about someone who doesn't love you. Things that make the heart shrink.
