Can you fall in love as a child?
The thought of it is a bit wild.
I was only six when i met Mason for the first time.
i had thought to myself that he’d be mine.

Since then ten years have gone by.
Together we laugh, together we cry
A pinkie promise, to be friends forever.
That one little promise that we’d always be together.

Flustered and confused one day.
I told him I had something important to say.
Fear filled his eyes.
As if I were going to tell him lies.

Three little words flow from my lips.
He touches my face with his finger tips,
As he whispers a gentle reply.
Then softly he touches his lips to mine.
