I'll be okay, I hope.

I'm always hiding who I really am.
I'm always hiding my pains.
I'm always barely making it through the days.
I'm always second guessing myself.
I'm always being someone that I'm not.
I'm always keeping things in rather than letting go.
I'm always locking myself away from the world.

I don't want to always hide who I really am.
I don't want to always hide my pains.
I don't want to always just be barely making it through the days.
I don't want to always second guess myself.
I don't want to always be someone that I'm not.
I don't want to always keep things in rather than letting go.
I don't want to always lock myself away from the world.

I just want to be the real me and be known and loved as for the true person I am.

The author's comments:
I wrote this in one of my boring classes, science fiction, I thought about the first line I wrote and I went from there. I struggle with my own personal self-esteem issues and this poem shows in the first stanza what I struggle with and the second stanza shows that I want all my self-esteem struggles to just stop.
