The best things in life come from sadness
The happiness is hidden in the folds
But if this is all joy really is
Then happy no one could ever know

The perfect life I know I have
No pain, suffering, or misery
Even yet the small things that go wrong
Seem to basically kill me

The sadness always seems to taunt
While the happy is out flaunting its stuff
Waiting to reveal from the ashes
To show it has had enough

While the perfect life stays so wonderful
The pain is just waiting its turn
Waiting for the revenge it can cast upon all
For all the happiness it can burn

So don’t take anything at all for granted
You never know what can happen at a glance
Keep your life the same as perfect
But be aware of hurt’s chance
