His heart raced like a clock
Disregarding his pride
Tick tock, tick tock
He remembers her grin
The glint in her eyes
Beautiful Loretta Lynn
His love not one could disguise
The pain in his stride
No more the popular jock
No more time to bide
Tick tock, tick tock
It wasn't a sin
He thinks as he cries
She was his Loretta Lynn
And true love never dies
No need to decide
His fate was on lock
He would commit suicide
For Loretta Lynn he never forgot
