The fires of spring start out
As all other fires do
With a spark and heaven's mercy
The beginning of something new

That spark grows slowly but surely
To create a low hum
A step to something beautiful
A step away from scum

Steadily the fire continues
Growing ever on
Soon to be a raging fire
But then, it's almost done

Full blast, this raging fire
This symbol of spring
Make flowers bloom, painting the fields
And make the birds chirp -- sweetly they sing

Then calmly the fire dies
To sleep once again
To let other seasons burn
And let spring get back ahead
