Your Life

You say that your life is hard,
But others are much worse.
They wish they had your life,
So your life really is not a curse.

You say that nobody cares,
When you know that isn’t true.
You sit there and mope in a corner,
Ostracizing yourself from the crew.

You take a visit to the hospital, and what do you see?
Hundreds of children lying in beds,
You realize your life is not as brittle as it may seem.
All those hopeful faces with cancer, tears your heart to shreds;
Knowing that their lives are as fragile as loaves of breads,
And compared to theirs, your life is a solid beam.
