It was a warm day when they met,
The two loved each other so.
Their fates were intertwined,
And he wasn’t letting go.

When her years were up,

Her wounded soul he kept.
Together they faced their future,
Greeted with open arms.
But then the future betrayed her
Exposing her to harm.

When her years were up,

Her wounded soul he kept.
It was a cold night when she didn’t come home,
He sat in silence waiting.
There he sat for days on end,
Depressed with the a sad hating.

When her years were up,

Her wounded soul he kept.
