Football was great while it lasted,
Power lifting and track are fun,
But in between those events
I haven’t done a ton.
I don’t do parties, or drink, or smoke,
And I don’t have hobbies to do.
Youtube is entertaining for a while
But I always get bored there too.
One day I was watching the tv
And on came a really good show.
Shawshank Redemption was the name
And it was so good I was like, “Whoa!”
There was one specific line
That got to me, no lyin’.
Andy Dufresne said about life,
“Get busy livin’ or get busy dyin’.”
That got me thinking about my time,
Which I had pretty much wasted so far.
I decided to do something about it
And break out of my boxcar.
Now I’m gonna have some fun
And fill my life with action.
