“I love writing. I love the swirl and swing of words as they tangle with human emotions.” —James Michener

With a wish &a grin,
We step into sin,

I'll live in your arms
'til forever grows old,
We'll live this dear love
though our story's untold,

Secrets we kept
as love we made,
Embarking upon
a sweet love crusade,

Slipping into a dream
that you've given me,
Believing that shackles
can set our souls free,

We'll make this last
with hope &assurance,
patience, commitment,
&God's gift of endurance,

Not living a lie
Just living a dream,
Maybe this is all part of
precious Fate's scheme,

Wrapped up in heaven
to hide from the cold,
I'll live in your arms
'til forever grows old.

One of my favourite quotes of all time: "There's nothing more freeing than the shackles of love" (Emma Racine deFleur). This inspired my poem, along with personal circumstances.
