Do You Remember?

Do you remember?
A time where nothing mattered in the world,
But fun and games,
A time where young kids left to play,
Not to go to war,
A time when guns,
were only filled with water,
A time when you gave people you didn’t like
Notes with things like ‘poopy head’ written in them,
Rather than creating a hate page On face book about them,
A time when everything
Was going to be okay and
There was always another tomorrow,
A time when the only lumps on our bodies
Were from misquotes,
Not cancer
A time when I was younger,
Now I’m older,
Who cares if the world has gone colder,
Maybe we needed it to get sober,
And face life as reality,
Not make-believe.
Because only through are Imaginations
Are we deceived.

Sometimes life takes a path that is hard to walk on, so all you have to do is put on your hiking boots.
