not sure what to call it, someone can help give it a title .

you make me smile,
please stay a while.
i love when you're around,
even if you don't make a sound.

when you act shy,
i feel like i can fly.
when you're sad,
it makes me feel bad.

i like the way you be yourself,
i have your picture on my shelf.
you're always there when i need to talk,
when you asked me to be yours i was in shock.

well i was yours for a while,
until that girl down the aisle caught your eye.
& a little part inside of me died.

now when i see you i can't help but stare,
and remember the times that you were always there.
when i see your picture taped on my mirror,
all i can do is shed a tear.

the fun things we did are now a memory,
you once said that one day we would marry.
maybe one day i'll find someone new,
but until then all i'll think about is you.

i hear your voice, it's in my head,
their were so many signs i should've read.
was it me that made you go away?
i thought that you were gonna stay.

as times goes by it's getting better,
i even sat down and wrote you a letter.
i told you it was okay, and that i'm not mad,
cause now that i think about it it's not so bad.

the time we had together was good,
if i could do it all again i would.
this is how it was meant to be,
you and her not you and me.

i'm glad that now at least we're friends,
no matter how the story ends.
we have a bond that will last forever,
that in my heart i will always treasure.
