Unrequited Love

for anyone who's loved out there,
and had to fight back the amorous stares...
i come to tell you of my life,
my joy, my pain, my blood, my strife...

i am in love with my best friend,
i hid it,
and just told him,
i'm his friend till the end...

but i cannot sit back and watch as he
loves other people,
that are not me...

but i must, and i trust,
that my heart will not bust,
into pieces,
and fly away with the gust
that my mind leaves
in the robust, russet ocean,
and when my eyes give that certain motion,
all will dissipate
and i will anticipate,
the love that i need.
