Rather be hated for who i am than loved for who i'm not

I guess this is how all the wars begin
And some saint surely isn't coming in
I'm tired of being told all I do is sin
But I guess this is how all the wars begin

Drop by a minute and watch through my eyes
Though I know it's easier to put on a disguise
Keep chanting theirs, I'm writing my own hymn
I guess this is how all the wars begin

How many breathes can we take before there's nothing left to breath?
Tell me, is an argument all you can conceive?
Is there anything left that you can believe?
I've nowhere to go but I think I'll go and leave

And no, your not the only reason why
I have nothing left to fail, nothing left to try
I'm getting older and this is goodbye
I'll just get older and this is goodbye

But I guess this is how all the wars begin
The only words I hear are from children
This time I'm running out, without looking back in
I guess this is how all the wars begin

But just tell me, do you see beyond my frame?
Is there even a picture, or am I just the same?
Why then, do I even carry a name?
Yes, man I know, we all must be the same
We all must be the same

Why does it matter to you what I do?
I always ask if your words are even true (you never answer)
I don't fall asleep because I think of you
So stay awake one night and try to get a clue
I guess that I don't even matter to you

But then again, my only friend
Isn't this how all the wars end?

Aren't we why all the wars end?

This poem has a consistent rhyme scheme, inspired by a personal dispute which I feel many people can relate to.
