You were my anti-drug,
for quite some time.
Helped me forget memories,
of how i spent the summertime.
The medicine soothed my throat,
with the warm breath of your kiss.
And i suddenly got a feeling
that in not too long, i'd miss.
The sickness that crept inside for oh-so-long
was suddenly gone.
I was not crippled,
by the heartsickness you caused.
But I got too much of that breath,
got sick of it once again.
I had collapsed,
I was on a relapse.
The drug that I had depended on,
was gone.
With none for the taking
Now im laying here
as a body drowned in tears.

This was inspired by a rebound boyfriend. We all have them. They don't last very long.
