If you look out side and think 'Oh Damn! its a beautiful day, now people are going to visit me!' then you are a real writer.

Cowboy, take me away
I’ll pack my things
We can leave today
Taking life and what it brings
Never once looking back
At the things we’ve done
Let’s just go and pack
The past is dead and gone

Cowboy, take me away
Let’s hit the ground running
I don’t want to wait another day
I want to be rid of this and be with you
I know it all sounds cliché
But it’s all true as the sky is blue

Cowboy, take me away
Bring me closer to you
It sounds good to me, what do you say?
Will you take me away?

The author's comments:
i was thinking one day about the song 'Cowboy Take me Away' by the Dixi Chicks and how i just felt the need to get away and just be alone. in this poem i wanted the reader to read it and think, what's done is done and there is nothing we can do to change it. we need to look to the future and live for today not the past.

I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best."
